Donate now and help the Community Foundation to reach a September 30th fund development Goal: To raise $25,000.00 for Grants and Communications

With some estimates and rough calculations, meeting a $25 k goal by Sept 30 could become $53 k by December 30 for the foundation:

  • $25 K donations + $10 k (Anonymous Donor) + $18.75 k (est. Community Spirit) = $53.75 k

    • How does this work? The foundation looks for ways to maximize and leverage each donation that we receive. We currently have two opportunities:

  • Anonymous Donor has offered a challenge: Collect $10 k by September 30 and Donor will match with $10 k = $20,000. for Community Grants Fall 2008
  • The Provincial government challenges charities to increase donations. Donations from individuals received January/07 - September 30/08 will be eligible for a "proportional donation" from government (it won't be $$ for $$ equal). The Community Spirit Donation Grant program permits "a maximum grant of $25,000 per year, with total grants not to exceed $50,000., over three years". If you are considering making a charitable donation, ask your charity of choice about The Community Spirit Program.
