REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - If you are interested in submitting a Kick Start Planning proposal to The Banff Community Foundation, please send a note to: lorraine@banffcommunityfoundation.org requesting the Terms of Reference.

Background: In November 207, The Banff Community Foundation (BCF) was awarded a grant through the Community Foundations of Canada's Environment program and is inviting proposals for "Kick Start Planning" support. This grant will help the Board of Directors define the appropriate role of the foundation in environmental grant making, fund development and community leadership.

With this grant, the foundation will have in place by November 2009:

  • operational policies and strategic plans that clarify its role as a grant maker, endowment fund builder and community partner in the area of 'environment'
  • an improved understanding of interests shared and jurisdictions served by stakeholders, donors, businesses, community groups and individuals
  • $30,000 of new funding for purposes related to 'environment'
