As a '360 degree' grant-maker, the Foundation funds projects that support some (or all) of the following sectors: Arts, Environment, Education, Health, Heritage, Recreation and/or Social Services
What the Foundation does not fund
The Foundation does not provide grants for political or religious activities, deficit reduction, annual fund drives, travel expenses, team sponsorship or retroactive funding.
How to Apply
Organizations are encouraged to contact the Foundation prior to formally applying to ensure they meet the funding guidelines. Please contact us.
Evaluation Procedure
Successful applicants must evaluate the project, demonstrating the outcomes, and report back to the Foundation by an agreed date. Failure to complete the evaluation will exclude the applicant from further grants.
FOUNDATION TO GRANT ON AN ANNUAL CYCLE
As part of its strategic plan in 2009, The Banff Community Foundation has shifted from its semi-annual granting cycle to an annual cycle. The call for applications to the community grants program will be made once per year with a deadline of the final Wednesday in September. Read the full announcement here...
