The Board of Directors has approved more than $52,000. of funds for distributions as Community Grants 2009. The decisions have been made, the applicants have been notified and now a little more behind-the-scenes work is being done to finalize pledges, gifts and grant agreements. This year, the Foundation has decided to save some of the good news until January. We will announce the full list of Grants Decisions at an event early in 2010, bringing donors, grant recipients, advisory committee and board members together. In October Mary Harding of Banff Public Library Board of Directors accepted a cheque from Neil Wedin, on behalf of The Banff Community Foundation Board of Directors. The cheque represents a gift from an Anonymous Donor who generously supported a special gift of $3,000. for book purchases, following an application submitted by the Library and administered by the Foundation.
