Community Projects awarded $27,000 of new funding

Thanks to the collaborative support of generous Donors, Banff's community agencies, and volunteer board members, the following projects will receive over $27,000.00 of new funding from The Banff Community Foundation:

1. Abbeyfield House Banff - Bathing facility improvements
2. Banff Community High School - Science Equipment
3. Banff Elementary School - Food for Learning
4. Banff Elementary School Council - Writers in Residence
5. Banff Mineral Springs Hospital - Stay Safe, Health Promotion
6. Bow Valley Regional Housing - Mt. Edith House Storage Garage
7. Canadian Rockies Public School and Soroptimists International of Banff National Park - Live Your Dream 2008 Conference
8. Friends of Banff National Park - Banff Youth Radio
9. Peter and Catharine Whyte Foundation - Project KID
10. Schizophrenia Society of Alberta - Banff Clubhouse
11. Town of Banff, FCSS - Mountain Pride Outreach
12. Town of Banff, FCSS - Are we there yet? school program
13. Town of Banff, Community Services - Banff Rotary Community Hub Set-up
14. The Banff Centre - Art for All
15. Western Canada Ski Foundation - Banff Opportunity Scholarship Fund

With this most recent announcement, The Banff Community Foundation has allocated over $120,000. to community groups since 2004. No matter the size or designation of the donation, all money supports the BCF vision of 'creating a legacy that enhances the quality of life for the communities of Banff National Park'. The foundation's Community Grants program is an important manifestation of this vision.
